Round 5:  This weekend was another event for the history books with the first ever 2-Day Hungry Valley ISDE Format Qualifier hosted and co-sanctioned by District 36's Valley Climbers MC and District 37's Ventura County MC. Over 550 riders were on hand to take on 170 miles of twisty, slippery trails, tight rocky single track through the manzanita and pine trees over 2 days. The weekend was the largest undertaking of the season, for both clubs and for the series.

District 37's Matt Henderson aboard his Fly Racing KX250f would take top honors on the weekend. He would have his share of problems though. Frying his rear brakes on Day 1 having to change the pads and fluids on top of his filter and regular end of the day prep in his 15 minute work period before impound. Day 2 wouldn't be much easier with a few rotor bolts breaking off at the end of loop 1. "I felt pretty good all day, no big mistakes or anything. Just rode smooth and as fast as I could on the 250f." Said Henderson."Being on minute 1 really helped. I wasn't in the dust all day at all..."
