WEBE offering a minimum of a $2000 dollar pro purse at every round

Feb. 27, 2012

Greetings to all,

The season is sneaking up on us, are you ready?  We have been working hard getting ready for the first race of the year and the annual awards banquet.  Make sure you check out the website for the list of racers who qualify for a year end award.  Those who won their class receive a year end jacket!  Make sure you check the list and if your name has the word jacket next to it let us know your size ASAP.

Congratulations to Steve Renstrom and Christina Altomare, Steve won a free season of races and Christina won a season of free Practices.  They are racers who signed up for the Fly contingency program and won those prizes.  We had several WEBE racers receive $144 dollars worth of Fly bucks in 2011!  Fly determines the amount of support for WEBE by the amount of riders signed up for this program.  Help support your series by signing up your friends and family and maybe you can win free races next year.  All you need to do is buy a set of gear (jersey, pants and gloves) youth or adult and send in the contingency form.  You can find the form on the WEBE website.  Anyone who shows up on our report from Fly as being signed up for the 2012 contingency program will receive one free practice.  You must allow enough time for it to get posted and for us to receive the report, please be patient.  We appreciate your support.

We have made a couple of class changes for the 2012 season.  We have eliminated the 200 A and 200 B class.   We will allow 125cc-200cc bikes to enter the 250 A and 250 B classes only.  These changes will be listed on the new entry form posted on the website.  We will be continuing to offer the team classes, if you can't make the practice take advantage of the team race.  It's a two hour race and you get plenty of seat time and the chance to learn the course.

Here is a list of those required to move up in classes for the 2012 season:
    Joey Hamilton - Pro
    Kyle Dines - Pro
    Scott Sandefer - Pro
    Derek Raycraft - A class
    Kodjo Leeds - A class
    Cody Pack - B class
    Travis Hyslop - B class

We are offering a minimum of a $2000 dollar pro purse at every round.  We will still pay out close to 33% of the Pro class so everyone has a chance.  The Pro entry has been increased to $80 dollars, all other classes have no increase in price including the mini classes!

We will be having our annual BLM Dunes area clean up in April, starting on the Wednesday before the race and continue through the Friday before the race April 11th - 13th.  You can show up anytime and your help is appreciated.  We have cleaned up this area for many years in a row and have left a great impression with the BLM who controls a lot of the areas we all love to ride in.  Come help show the BLM that we are a group of responsible offroad riders!

Wishing you a safe season in 2012,

the Webe racing team
