Kawasaki leads GEICO EnduroCross Manufacturers Championship
One-Two finish at the Vegas opener gets Kawasaki off to a good start
 
Irvine, CA (June 5, 2012) – For the first time, the 2012 GEICO AMA EnduroCross series will include a Manufactures Championship. Each motorcycle manufacturer will earn points for the top two finishers on their brand at each round. Kawasaki got off to a strong start at the Las Vegas opener as Colton Haaker on the Lucas Oil backed Kawasaki won his first ever main event ahead of the Justin Soule on the Monster Energy Kawasaki. The KTM duo of Taddy Blazusiak and Mike Brown earned third and sixth respectively to put the Orange team in second after round one. The Beta and Husqvarna teams are tied for third.
 
“This is a great way to recognize the motorcycle manufacturers that support the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship and also provides the fans with another reason to cheer on their favorite riders” stated Mike Karsting, VP of Events at Source Interlink. “EnduroCross is extremely tough on the machines so this will be a great reward for the winning manufacturer” he continued.
