Endurocross: Geoff Aaron Back

June 7, 2012

Geoff Aaron Back for Sacramento EnduroCross
Shoulder injury kept him out of the Las Vegas opener

Irvine, CA (June 7, 2012) – GEICO Honda backed Geoff Aaron has missed very few EnduroCross events since the first one was held in Las Vegas in 2004. He has a couple of main event wins, countless podium finishes and was the series runner up in 2009 and 2010. So it was very disappointing when a shoulder injury put him on the sidelines for the 2012 opening round. Although he is not back to 100%, he does plan to be back in action for the Sacramento round of the series coming up this weekend; Saturday, June 9th inside the Power Balance Pavilion.

Aaron had this to say about his comeback ride: “Yes, I'm attempting to ride Sacramento this weekend. I rode for the first time in 6 weeks at the Thunder Valley MX National last weekend doing a Trials demo for Red Bull. My shoulder injury is still only 75% and is very painful after I abuse it. My goals for EnduroCross are to make the main event and not injure myself more. I will try as hard as I can and see what happens.” So just making the main event may be a challenge for Aaron but you can be sure that the 10 time AMA Trials Champion will give it his all.

Aaron and all of the top EnduroCross riders will be signing autographs inside the Power Balance Pavilion concourse when the doors open at 7:00 PM.  Practice and qualifiers begin on Saturday morning and the pit area and Arena is open to the public for free all day. But you will need a ticket for the evening racing. Get your tickets now!
