Sheridan Mountain Showdown - Cancelled
We just received the following from Don Hood, President of ATR:

"Hey All, Well, this is definitely not something I wanted to say but it's true, the Sheridan Mountain Showdown Enduro schedule for this weekend, April 15th, at Camp Wood is cancelled due to the weather.

Why? In phone conversations today with the NOAA we found out that they expect 1/4 - 1/2 inch of moisture ,snow and rain, to come down in basically 24hrs (Friday evening through Saturday night). Snow levels will be down to 4000' which means the entire course will get water (good and bad) and when combining the 1/4 inch with the rain falling up there right now, the PNF, and myself for that matter, have serious concerns about peoples safety, their vehicles safety, and of course damage to the roads and camping area.

With regard to rescheduling....heck I don't know. The PNF is willing but I don't know about all of you, AMRA, or D37 at this point. I'm sorry for the short notice but I've been watching this storm all week and while initially thinking/hoping it would not be that bad, the latest intelligence says otherwise.
