In a quadruple, stacked weekend in off-road, we have lots of goodies to deliver this week. As I headed from the Laughlin Hare Scramble to the Big 6 at Glen Helen, our crew on the East held it down at the National Enduro in South Carolina and the CRA race in Ohio. Four races, five winners, 47 tweets and one missing Go Pro later, we bring you this weeks Monday Hot Press.
Kawasaki Decorates the Laughlin Hare Scramble Podium
The Monster Energy Kawasaki boys are known for hitting up the Laughlin Hare Scrambles every year for a fun, off-beat race. This year the "never-said-retired" Destry Abbott and his teammate Gary Sutherlin checked in, and checked out. The duo finished the 100+ mile, time corrected race at 03:23:37, about a minute and a half ahead of 2nd. Anyone else think Sutherlin should focus his attention to desert a little more?

FMF/KTM’s Buttrick Breaks Baylor’s Streak
Buttrick made it clear after a consistent ride and winning two of the six special tests, that he would be the man on the top box for the third round of the Naitonal Enduro circuit. The hot topic going into the weekend was whether or not Steward Baylor could pull off another win, but being the youngest to ever win a National Enduro, the pressure may have gotten to him.

Summers Sums it Up at Big 6
A few front-runners were M.I.A for the big $2000 purse race called the AMA West Coast Series class on Sunday. If your confused on the name, don't be. It's just an official title for the AMA to award a National plate. Kurt Caselli, Timmy Weigand, Colton Udall and Mark Samuels all had to head South for the San Felipe 250. Although it is unfortunate timing, it left the door open for fresh faces on the podium. Rockstar Valli Yamaha rider Kyle Summers came to race and the battle between him and Robby Bell ignited. Summers came out on top and won his first Big 6 of the season.

Scotty Watkins Sweeps CRA
Kicking off the first CRA race of the year in East Palestine, Ohio, Scotty Watkins came to get in good practice for the coming up GNCC race. He pretty much rode his own race and checked out to the finish. But the good battle was for second and third. Chad Orr, Brett Zofchak and Josh Brown held it out in the cold, snowy conditions to get on the podium, but Zofchak and Orr ultimately made it to the podium.
