What can you say about Destry Abbott that hasn't already been said? He's one of the best off-road racers around and his awesome personality makes it impossible not to respect him. What we found interesting in this Catalyst, is that Destry makes much of it about his family. Instead of emphasizing "I" it's all about "we." Read on to learn more about the things that motivate Destry and why he you won't find him trading in his dirtbike anytime soon.

The Fuel
Anybody that knows me, knows I have a sweet tooth, so that's my favorite food (does that count?) If I could cut out my sweets I really think I could have a 6-pack! No, I have been working hard on my eating habits. Italian food would be my favorite thing to eat or just BBQing here at the house.
The Tube
I'm not a "Reality TV" type of guy, but that's all it seems like there is these days. The only TV series' that we really watch are Modern Family and Raising Hope (both shows relate to my family). I do like watching documentaries and shows on Discovery, National Geographic, and History. SportsCenter, racing, and games are the other things I like to watch.
The Text
I'm definitely more of a magazine guy, but if I do read any books it's usually related to sports or inspirational type of stuff! I like to stay up with Twitter and now I've been hooked on the Instagram thing too. I also make sure I stay up to date on my Facebook fan page and get back with everyone there.
The Sound
Honestly, I listen to just about everything (besides hard rap). Alternative rock or punk stuff would be my favorite, but I like 80's music (since that was my era) and even country music. Before a race I'll definitely be listening to some Metalica (all time favorite) or something like that.
The World Wide Web
For sure moto related stuff or YouTube! Vurboffroad, Cycle News, RacerXill, Vital, stuff like that.
The Motivation
I love quotes and usually have them in my garage or somewhere I'll see them! Some of my favorites quotes: "Championships are won on your worst days."- Ricky Carmichael, "Pain is simply weakness leaving the body." -Unknown, "Win If You Can, Lose If You Must, But NEVER QUIT!"-Cameron Trammell. The thing that has been motivating me now is the age thing! I really feel good and have been having fun and don't feel like I'm too old to be out there running with the leaders. I still love racing and if I had the choice, I would be racing more then I am now!
The Down Time
It's usually something with the family or playing sports (b-ball, golf, tennis, mountain biking, etc.). I've always been really athletic and enjoy playing sports. I played a lot of sports growing up and I'm super competitive, so those things always keep me on my toes! Now my son is getting really good at b-ball, so there's a lot of trash talking when we play.
